Bargain Movers Moncton

Release and Liability Agreement

    Read the following information attentively.

Important information about your booking: Bargain Movers requires a reservation deposit for your moving services. This reservation deposit is non-refundable. You must also fill out the Contact Information Form and sign this Agreement, which are both provided to you by email in order to book. If you need to reschedule, Bargain Movers can not guarantee to accommodate your new date and you will be required to pay a new reservation deposit. If you cancel, the reservation deposit will not be returned to you.

Moving Hourly Rate: The rate(s) listed in your estimate includes all necessary materials and equipment to perform moving services. The basic moving service includes an enclosed truck, two movers, moving blankets, dollies, and moving straps. The basic moving service does not include packing supplies, packing, or unpacking of boxes; you may request these additional services from a Bargain Movers representative when booking.

    Minimum charge:

Moves inside the Greater Moncton Area: we are required by law to list the minimum number of billable hours and the corresponding minimum charge. The minimum charge is three (3) hours. In most cases, this should not be the expected final cost nor a reasonable expectation for completion time. This minimum charge is irrelevant to your specific move and only relevant to the crew size assigned and your area of service. Within the three (3) hours minimum charge, there are 15 minutes allocated to arrive at the pickup address and 15 minutes to return to our warehouse.

Moves outside the Greater Moncton Area: the minimum charge is four (4) hours, and you are required to pay 50% of the minimum charge included in your estimate before Bargain Movers leaves the Greater Moncton area. The billable hours begin when our crew leaves the warehouse and end when our crew arrives at the warehouse.

Once the minimum time is exceeded, you will be billed in ¼ hour increments and for ALL time required to complete the service(s) requested. By signing this agreement, you have voluntarily waived your right to an estimate and agree to pay hourly rates for services requested.

Crew Size: Bargain Movers reserves the right to send fewer or additional crew members than quoted to complete any service, solely at the company's discretion. The hourly rate charged will be according to the number of movers/trucks assigned to the job, pro-rated to the quoted tariff. Reasons for adjusting the crew size may include, but are not limited to, Labor Laws, Hours of Service Regulations for drivers, available company resources, scheduling requirements, and/or weather concerns.

Payment: Full payment is due upon completion of the moving service. Acceptable payment methods are via Electronic transfer, Credit Card, or Cash.

Important: Bargain Movers highly recommends that you schedule a 50.00$ (including taxes) virtual or in-home consultation prior to your move. If you do not need an estimate, you may schedule a crew based solely on the hourly rates and minimum charges discussed.

Packing Hourly Rate*: The rate(s) listed in your estimate includes the required or requested number of packers. Materials provided and used will be in addition to the hourly rate, plus applicable sales tax. Bargain Movers will pack your belongings for you but will not be held liable for the items inside cartons.

If packing hourly rates are not listed on your estimate or in the pricing above, you are electing to pack all of your own goods. Walk-throughs will be performed on the packing day to ensure the crew knows precisely what is to be packed. Once the crew departs pickup/delivery locations, additional charges may apply if return trips are requested. It is your responsibility to ensure each phase of the packing service has been completed. *Packing services are not included with the moving services. You must book packing services separately with a Bargain Movers representative prior to your move date.

Inventory: In an effort to keep our rates low and time to a minimum, no inventory of goods will be taken during your move. It is your responsibility to ensure all your items are present at the end of your move. We ask that you examine the back of our trucks upon completion of your move to assure yourself that all your belongings were unloaded. Bargain Movers' responsibility only extends to items while under its care and custody and terminates when it leaves the premises.

Risky tasks: Bargain Movers will not be responsible for any damage caused by non-routine moving, including but not limited to, standing pieces on end; sharp turns; over-crowded work areas; difficult stairways; snags and sharp edges in work areas and doorways; handing over balconies, railings, etc.; tight squeezes; and damage caused by weather. Damages incurred due to the size of the item compared to the size of a hall, doorway, stairs, elevators, or similar. The crew will attempt to get the item in if you desire, but damages may result. If you want the crew to stop, tell them. If the crew moves an item and there is a snag on a doorframe, stairwell, or other structure that nicks or tears an item, we will not cover the damages.

Safety: Bargain Movers reserves the right to refuse any service or request that it deems unsafe, unreasonable, or hazardous to either you, the company or their goods or equipment. In addition, our crew has the right to refuse any item or request they deem unsafe, unsanitary, or may cause property damage.

Bargain Movers is not responsible for any missing items or damaged items. Bargain Movers is not responsible for any items that were not moved during my absence.
